Every successfull band needs a good crew...

Seppo Vesterinen

Seppo is the manager of HIM since 1998. Bevore he came to HIM he was the manager of Hanoi Rocks. After the death of the drummer (he died in an accident, Hanoi Rocks celerbrated their comeback last year) during their tour through America it became calm around Seppo. He organized different festivals and on till he came to HIM. Their he first offered his help in business matters and he later became the manager of the guys. Ville says about Seppo, that he is a very good and honest manager and we can only agree with that. He is really nice. The concerts he mostly watches out of the croud in the back and he always has an open ear for the fans. Together with some helpers he works on the official HIM-homepage and he always takes some photos, which he also publishes than on the page, further more Seppo is as the „personal manager“ -that’s how his profession is called - not only with the band at the shows, also at autographsessions or interviews.

The Crew

Tom Furey
Tom is American and he is the Tourmanager of HIM. He was already working for bands like e.g. Blondie.

Janne Vuori
Janne „Konu-man“ Vuori was the soundengeneer for HIM till spring 2005 and at the same time he’s the brother of Jussi 69, the drummer of the 69 Eyes. He’s Finnish and worked for HIM since they started to play in clubs.

Brad
The new guy for the sound is Brad. He is American and began at the same time as Timo did.

Ilkka Kuusimäki
He was the man for the light, he also is Finnish and as well as Janne he joined the band since their very start.

Timo
Timo replaced Ike for the first time at the show in the Finnish Club “Nosturi” on 29th August 2005. He is born in Finland, but moved to Sweden when he was two years old...  Before he worked e.g. for “The Cardigans”.

Sean Mc Carthy
Drum - Technican. Sean is from Scotland and works for him since their early days.

Pasi Hara
Also a soundengeneer of HIM and furthermore he is a very good friend of Burton. He’s Finnish and also on tour with HIM since they started.

Martin Körfer
He is from Germany and HIM`s Guitar - Technican.

Michael
He is the man who drives the neccessary instruments  from A to B.

Steve
He is the one who sells all this lovely T-shirts, hooties, posters,... to you, he is the merch-guy.

Mark Van Tassel
Yeah, what to tell about marky? He was the U.S. lighting contact but now he`s the heartagram tech. He drove it 5226 miles around the U.S....over the rocky mountains 4 times the band used to call him „The Crazy Trucker“ and named the last tour after him but now he is „adopted to the family“ and they just call him Marky. He takes care of putting the heartagram together and rigging it and making sure all the moving lights on it work for Ike. He`s based in NYC where he runs lights for most of the shows at the Beacon Theater and has been a pro LD in the city for some time. He has been helping HIM with lights in the U.S. for over a year now.
Mark about the guys: „I've worked for hundreds of stars and these are the nicest guys I ever met....“

Promotion

Silke Yli-Sirniö

The most of you will know Silke as „Mutti“. She is the promotion lady of HIM. She’s working for Drakkar Entertainment and she joins the band the most time of the tour. Before she did this she was a DJ. She discovered HIM in a club in Finland, called „lepakko“ (translated „bat“) and she takes care that the boys feel confortable on tour, so she does their nails for example or she cares for a fair conversation at the interviews. She works also for the HIMfanclub Heartagramfanclub and she has as well as Seppo always an open ear for the fans. Visit the German heartagram- club

The Producers

Hiili Hiilesmaa
Kai „Hiili“ Hiilesmaa is the producer of the LP „666 Ways to love“, the first record „Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666“ and of the current record „Love Metal“. He met Ville in 1995, when he played in different bands and Hiili was working on some studionprojects, too. For example with the Skreppers, the band where he is the singer and with this band he always does the support on the new years eve gig of HIM at the famous Tavastia Klubi. He and the Skreppers also joined HIM during their Finland tour last year as support band. He was producing bands eg. Apocalyptica, Sencteced, Moonspell and many more. Furthermore he was the producer of the Daniel Lioneye album „The King of Rock ‚n‘ Roll“. Here you can read an interview with him and Asko Kallonen about the finnish musicculture:

T. T. Oksala
Timo Tapani Oksala „Paddy“ is also producer. He was working on some projects with HIM and he also produced eg. The 69 Eyes.

John Fryer
Producer of „Razorblade Romance“. Together with him the band recorded „RR“ in the Rockfieldstudios in Wales. He’s from England and he also produced for instance Depeche Mode, White Zombie, Nine Inch Nails,... He also produced some of the Songs on "„Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights“.

Kevin Shirley
Kevin „Caveman“ Shriley produced different songs for HIM eg. „Pretending“.

Other people

Asko Kallonen
The boss of the finnish label BMG. He was the one who gave HIM their first record contract and so he paved the way for their career.

Tiina Vuorinen
She’s working for HIM from time to time however the most of the time she does the work for the 69 Eyes. She is Seppos exwife.

Female Backing Vocals for the records

June Hyde
She tooked over the female part of the songs „Don’t fear the Reaper“ and „Dark Secret Love“, she is 24 years old and comes from London. She’s a good friend of Asta Hannula, the second singer on „Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666“. Her artname is „Sanna June Hyde“ and she was already singing in some bands. Together with HIM she recorded some Demos but only two of the songs have been recorded.

Asta Hannula
The voice of the Song „For You“ which you can hear in the background belongs to her, she is finnish and as mentoined above a friend of Sanna June Hyde.

Ninja Sarasalo

In the clip of „Right here in my Arms“ you can see her on the other side of the glas. She is a finnish model and when the clip was shoot she was 16 years old / young. Moreover she is one of Jean-Paul Gaudiers favourite models.

Nicolette Groeler

She plays the female mainpart in the clip of „In Joy and Sorrow“, her age is 24 and she lives in South-Africa.

Vanda Vosatkowa

The model from the „The Sacrament“ video. Bam Margera booked her from a modelagency in the Chec Republic for the clip.

Juliette Lewis

The famous Hollywood actress appeared in the clip for “Buried alive by love”.

Bam Margera

Bam is a great fan of HIM.He is a director and lives in L.A. He acted in the famous MTV serie „Jackass“. After “Jackass” he had success with “Viva la Bam” where Ville appeared in one of the series, you also can see him visiting a HIM show from time to time. He went to a show in Glasgow where he meet the guys the first time. He and Ville have become good friends meanwihle. Last year Bam came to visit the New years Eve gig in Tavastia.
