HIM pressconference
Besides us and more fans our dear friends of
“DarkSecretClub” has been at the pressconference. Following you can read their questions to the band:

DarkSecret: What are your plans for 2005?
Ville:
We are going to record our new album soon (1st March in Los Angeles) and we've schedhuled a tour in the States for the following autumn. So far we're open to festivals. That's the plan so far.

Russ: Are you planning on working on more videos with Bam Margera in the future?
Ville:
Is he here now? (laughs) I don;t know, it depends, it depends on how the new tracks will work out. We'll see. It's always good to have celebirty fans

Russ: Over the Internet the moto remains: "Ville is a God". How do you feel as a God?
Ville:
I believe in Nitzche saying that God is dead, so I guess I'd have to be dead if I were a God!

DarkSecret: Can you give as a clue about the new album? What is the philosophy, the ideas behind it, or even maybe something about its production?
Ville:
We're still working on these. The time available was very short and while I have about 20 songs ready, they all suck! (laughs!) So far, we have worked on 2, 2 and a half new songs.. These are almost ready

DarkSecret: Ville, something about the lyrics you write. Do you believe that as time goes by, they adapt to the changes of your character? Are they becoming more mature?
Ville:
I've never given it any complex thought, I usually do what fits most in every situation and I write accordingly, or it depends on what movies I see at times! I still haven't seen any of the lord of The Rings trilogy (I don't go to cinemas in Finland cause they don't allow smoking!), I've just watching the first DVD so our following album could be inspired from that!! (laughs!)
-Μ?ige: Or maybe from Hellraiser!!

DarkSecret: What was the last good thing u did for which you got a "Thank you"
Ville:
I tried to open the door for an older lady and she told me"fuck you!" (laughs)

DarkSecret: How "fresh" is the band feeling about 2005 and what are your personal wishes for the new year?
Ville:
Just to record the new album and get it done right. May we all be good and make good shows in 2005

DarkSecret: Any wishes for "world peace" or something like that?
Ville:
You mean something like that? Words are no good these days when Nature fights against Man... But let's hope that the "tides" for all of us won't be as strong this year.

Finn: How about the bands you are listening to right now, and might probably have an effect to you as for the new album is concerned?
Ville:
Pink Floyd, Anathema and The Misfits. It's gonna be faster, more "punkier", more extreme, but still gloomy. It'll touch the edge, more than anything we've done in the past. Imagine a speed metal version of "When Love and Death Embrace"

DarkSecret: What about your impressions for this year's RockWave?
Ville:
I remember us playing early, and Placebo "getting" all the darkness!! Well, it was a pleasant thing to do, palying in festivals always is!

DarkSecret: Are you planning on coming to Greece this year?
Ville: (laughs!)
This year? (just a couple of hours before 2005).
DarkSecret: In 2005!
Ville:
We still don't know. it would be good to play in a festival again. Starting the recording of the album in March, that'll take about 3 months, we still can't say what will happen later on.

First of all a happy new year 2005 for you all sweethearts. We just got back from two weeks Helsinki. We really had a great time there.
Read in our Review what it was like for us. HIMforfans.de had the opportunity to join in the HIM pressconference on 31.12.2004 in the Scandic Hotel. The conference started at 20.00. Most questions were regarding the future plans of the band and the upcoming CD. There was actually nothing new. Just that funnny story when Ville was asked what the strangest thing was that happend to him in the near past. He answered that he opened the door for an old lady and she was very gratfull by saying "F... You". Isn't that nice? We also did an interview with HIM's manager Seppo Vesterinen the same day. However we didn't find the time yet to get it online. So plz be patient. thx. In the next days we will update some pictures of the pressconference.

Valo's Soloalbum
According to www.blabbermouth.net : H.I.M. frontman Ville Valo will reportedly record a solo album this year that is expected to be released before the new H.I.M. CD. The solo effort will apparently be inspired by "country" music (PC: say that again???) and Ville's recent work on APOCALYPTICA's "Bittersweet" video, and will include the songs "Under the Rose", "Face of God" and "Have No Fear", which were performed by Valo during a recent live appearance. The new H.I.M. album, which is presently untitled, will reportedly be recorded at the Paramour studio in L.A. with producer Tim Palmer (Ozzy Osbourne, SEPULTURA) and is expected to be released in September/October 2005 via Sire Records. Ville told the Finnish Iltalehti newspaper last week that he will write 13 songs for the album over a two-month period, because "I do my best work under pressure," he reportedly said.
