New Sideproject of HIM and Amorphis
HIM and Amorphis created a new band called “To seperate the flesh from the bones”. The band has finnished their debut album that is supposed to bear the name “For those about to rot” The tracks have been recorded on 29.11.03 and mixed on 04.12.03 at CCPC Studio, Helsinki / Finland by Nikk Bingo and “To seperate the flesh from the bones”.

coming along with february's issue of Inferno Magazine.

Promotion for “And love said no”
The band will do a little promotion tour for the upcoming Best of, that will include several TV apperiances e.g. for MTV and VIVA.

HIM and USA
HIM Jumps Up The Billboard Heatseekers Chart to No.8 New York, NY - Jimmy Franks/Universal Records recording group, HIM, have burst into the Billboard Top 10 Heatseekers Chart with the same ferocity found in their album, Razorblade Romance. After ten weeks on the charts, their US debut climbs to 8. HIM will go on tour there soon.

New Single and Best of Album
The record company decided Solitary Man as new single. It will be in stores 01.03.04 and the Best of Album “And love said no” on 15.03.04. It contains 14 tracks. Click here for more information on the Best of Album.

UK Charts
“The Funeral Of Hearts” entered on its first week number 15 in the Official UK Single Charts. “The Funeral Of Hearts” is the third UK single release from the album “Love Metal”.
The show in London’s legendary Astoria Club on February 23rd is sold out. This is the third sold out night at Astoria for the band in less than a year.

Best Of album and new Single
The Best Of album of HIM will be released in march. HIM will also release a new single, which will come out in mid-february. The band still have to choose between „And love said no“ and „Solitary Man“.

Live Metal release
HIM’s live DVD „Live Metal“ will be released by the end of this year.

Future Plans
Finnish Kaista spoke to Ville Valo about HIM future plans. They were speaking about “the best of” album and Ville said that the CD will include the songs, which were released on HIM singles, plus two new recordings – “And Love Said No” and “Solitary Man” by Neil Diamond. The length of the album is approx. 80 minutes. And the name will probably be “And Love Said No: Best Of”.
Ville also said that those two songs are recorded in Helsinki and they will be mixed in London, in Tim Palmer’s studio, where HIM mixed “Love Metal”.
Except the new releases, HIM don’t plan to release the next album before autumn 2005. Till that time only “the best of” and DVD (in Xmas time in 2004) will be released.
Ville already has ideas for ten new songs. But HIM won’t record them before autumn-winter 2004. and in spring 2005 HIM will start a huge promotion of the upcoming album all over the world.

Accident during the London Show
After some time after HIM performance in London an unpleasant incident came to light. Bam Margera decided to do one of his extreme tricks and jumped from the balcony into the pit. Inspired by that, one guy from the audience did the same, but it wasn’t that successful. It was not only him who was injured, but one more girl, who appeared to be standing under that balcony.
After that incident HIM spread on open letter:
"During the gig, longtime fan of the band Bam Margera [of 'Jackass' fame], who was watching the band from the side balcony at The Astoria was encouraged by the crowd to take a controlled leap into the audience. Twenty minutes later in an unrelated incident an audience member jumped feet first from the back of the balcony into the pit. The crowd below were obviously watching the stage and were therefore completely unaware of what was happening. This idiotic behaviour resulted in a young lady in the crowd suffering a cracked vertabrae which will keep her off work for 6 weeks.
H.I.M., who were unaware of what was going on until after their gig had finished, would like to say that they are horrified by what happened and they send all of their love and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the young lady who was hurt. To jump from any balcony is wrong — but with Bam at least the situation was controlled — it's what he does for a living so nobody got hurt — but the other guy could have caused unthinkable damage. The end result was a fan was hurt and that is as wrong as wrong can be. This must not happen again".

Videoshoots
This weekend HIM will shoot new videos in Philadelphia and Los Angeles to the new track 'And Love Said No' and Neil Young Cover 'Solitary Man'. First new single is scheduled in Europe for Mid-February to be followed by a compilation album in Mid-March. The name of the album has not been disclosed yet. Director of both new videos will be again Bam Margera.

The Hamburg show March 25th is sold out and  a second day at the Grosse Freiheit on Friday March 26^th has been added.
Just before the German tour HIM will do a few dates in Austria and Switzerland as follows:

Sorry Sweathearts we have to inform you about the sad fact that the 3^rd try of the Ozzy Tour has now officialy been canceled. Due to an accident in december Ozzy is not in the persition to go on tour.
